Widening to four lanes of Mumbai - Ahmedabad Section of National Highway No.8 from Km 439/000 to Km 477/000
The work of widening to four lanes of Mumbai - Ahmedabad Section of National Highway No.8 from Km 439/000 to Km 477/000, taken up by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India with the loan assistance of World Bank and awarded to M/s. KMC Constructions Limited was completed in April 2001. The completed cost of the work is Rs. 1542.54 Millions.

The work involves Widening and Strengthening the existing two lane carriageway to four lanes. Construction of 3 Major Bridges, Number of Minor Bridges and Culverts. The total quantities of earthwork, Granular Subbase, Wet Mix Macadam, Bituminous items and Reinforced Concrete for Bridges executed under this project are 30,31,439 Cum, 2,53,003 Cum, 3,34,634 Cum, 1,04,574 Cum and 35,167 Cum respectively.
