Upgradation of Road from Sindhanur - Budugumpa.
The work of "Upgradation of Road from Sindhanur - Budugumpa", taken up by the Government of Karnataka with the loan assistance of World Bank has been awarded to M/s. KMC Constructions Limited in December 2001 for a Contract value of Rs. 718.72 Millions.

The work involves Widening and Strengthening of the existing State Highway of 77.50 Kms and Construction of 3 Major Bridges and 4 Minor Bridges.

The work is in good progress and expected to be completed by July 2004.

The total quantities of Earthwork, Granular Pavement, Bituminous Items and Reinforced Cement Concrete for Bridges executed upto March 2003 are 4,03,000 Cum, 97,000 Cum, 20,800 Cum and 1,160 Cum respectively. The work is being managed by Project Manager, Commercial Manager, Equipment Manager and Other Supporting Staff, Field Laboratories with quality control equipment were constructed at suitable places.
